The teacher’s cafeteria and kitchen are transformed into a Student Based Health Center to provide medical and mental components which share a waiting area, a reception desk and toilets. The medical component has 3 exam rooms and a lab. The mental component has two social workers’ offices and a conference room. The center has a health educator and a provider office. Original fixtures and finishes were removed. Gypsum board partitions were installed. Flooring is VCT and ceramic tile. Ceilings are acoustic tile and gypsum board ceilings. New lighting, low voltage systems, air-conditioning and plumbing were provided.
