The design for the new art studio on the fourth floor of the foundation building was inspired by John Hejduk’s vision and was articulated to merge seamlessly with the building’s architecture.
Recalling the walls in the lobbies of the second and sixth floors, the classroom enclosure is an undulating wall with a ribbon window that skirts the round columns.
Sprinklers installed at the head of the window to provide the required fire rating are masked by the steel window frame. Finishes and details match those throughout the building.
